- Bruce, Alfred, Selina, Nygma, Tabitha, Lucius, Butch, and Ra's do not appear in this episode. Lee only appears in flashbacks.
- Title meaning: the Falcone crime family, due to being of Italian descent, is sometimes referred to as Gotham's "Roman Empire". Additionally, Sofia quotes the famous phrase "Rome didn't fall in a day" to Jim when referring to Oswald's control of the underworld.
